Laine Turns 6

Laine started her celebration with butterfly cookies with pink frosting at school with her class. She also wanted each of the girls to get beautiful rings and we got a little something for the boys too.

The night before Laine's birthday, Mommy was busy making the butterfly cookies with pink frosting for school so Daddy decided to tackle the cake. Laine wanted a white cake with one red tulip. Coy decided to try a buttercream frosting because the sugary, gritty frosting is not his favorite. The frosting was amazing and the cake looked great. Good Job Daddy! Laine loved that her Daddy made it for her but the frosting "was OK but not my favorite" :( Can't win them all.

On her birthday night Laine wanted to "make our own pizzas" for dinner. We made pizzas with mushroom and olives, Laine's favorites.

The only other thing Laine wanted was to have a few of the neighbor girls spend the night. We told her she had to be 6 to have a sleepover. So Saturday night 3 girls came over and Laine finally got to have her sleepover. Two of the girls are Laine's age and one is the big sister. The girls giggled their way through the evening and stayed up way too late. They had fun.

This was a little glimpse into the future at the Ford house with Laine and girlfriends, I hope we survive :)
