Toronto FC

Lake County Soccer Club had the unique opportunity to host 3 Toronto FC soccer players.  The players put on clinics for the kids and Laine and Garrett both got to participate.  They had a great time even though it was held on the coldest night we have had all winter.  It was fun to come home and look up the Toronto FC roster and read about the players they just got to meet.  They received a bag for participating and had fun getting autographs.

Good Citizenship

Laine got off the bus last Friday and was disgusted at the amount of litter on the side of the road in front of our house so she decided to do something about it.  She coordinated with her Daddy a time when we could all go out and pickup trash.  So armed with gloves and buckets, the Ford family filled a black trash bag with litter.  Our streets look so much better, thanks to a little girl that cares.  Great Job Laine !!

Happy Birthday X 3

We have adopted/rescued all of our animals.  Ruger was the first and we picked him from a litter so we know he was born on February 1st, Super Bowl Sunday that year.  Ruedi was rescued on the streets and his age was guesstimated by the vet and put his birthday around February 1st too.  Then Winchester adopted us but again the vet guesstimated the age which put his birthday around February 1st.  So for ease we celebrate all 3 on the same day, February 1st.  It doesn't take long, the special "pupcakes" were devoured in seconds (even Winchester had a pup cake no "catcakes" were available).  

Ruger is 4, Ruedi and Winchester are 2.

A Little Pampering

Coy bought Laine and I a spa facial for Christmas so this past Saturday we were pampered.  

A family friend at church is an aesthetician and is beginning her practice again.  

She only uses all natural ingredients like lemon, baking soda, coconut oil and chocolate.  

It was fun and relaxing.

It was a great Mommy and Daughter morning.

We enjoyed a great fire with some hot dogs and s'mores.
