NJHS Induction

Garrett joined Walker tonight and got inducted into the
National Junior Honor Society.  

We are very proud.  A great honor they both received as 6th graders.  

Now we have 2 members in our house :)

Playing Time

Garrett got some playing time.  We are so proud of him.  The first time coach called him in he said "I didn't even know she was talking to me, then I got really nervous"  

He did great with a couple shots on goal.

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter, celebrating our Risen Lord.  We went to church and enjoyed a glorious celebration service with our church family.  After church Laine got to participate in an Easter egg hunt.  The boys helped do the hiding ;) Then we came home and spent a relaxed afternoon out on our Lake.  It was a beautiful day.  The boys caught 4 fish.  We finished the day with a ham dinner complete with all the extras.  It was just the 6 of us and just perfect :)

Papa is Here

We got Papa all  moved in last weekend.

Garrett Soccer

The soccer jerseys are so cool.  Garrett wears it with a big smile (except when Mom wants a picture).

EMS has played 2 games and won both.  The team looks great and both wins were close.  Unfortunately Garrett has not seen any action.  He is taking it well and learning what means to "earn your place" and to be a team player.  He keeps working hard and he will get his chance soon.  They are not playing games now becasue of FCAT.  So we will be back in action after next week.

A Teenager ?!?!?!

Yes it is true, Walker is a teenager.  WOW 13, hard to believe.  His birthday was a school day so we had a special dinner; deer steak and a lemon trifle for dessert.  He was a happy kid.

We surprised him with tickets to see La Nouba in Downtown Disney for his birthday.  So we had a great family day on Saturday with lunch a PF Changs and a great show, "weird" but great accordng to Walker.

Friday night we had a nice birthday dinner with Grandma Sue.  A whoopie pie cake makes Grandma Sue happy.  It was nice they shared their celebration.

Of course Laine had her day well planned out.  It was over Spring Break so she had the whole day.  First was crepes for breakfast then Grandma, Mommy and she went shopping in Mount Dora. "The boys" met us for lunch and we ended the day with a spaghetti dinner.  We don't normally do "birthday parties" but with the move even our family celebration was a little hurried, but I think she had a great day.  We agreed to a "girls day" with her friends in the lake sometime soon when we are settled.  What a trooper and a big girl.  Happy Birthday Laine.
