Gator Showcase

We had a great time at the Gator Showcase Soccer Tournament in Gainesville this past weekend.  The girls played hard, got to watch the Gator girls play a friendly and got a tour of the UF soccer facilities by Savannah Jordon.  Savannah is the UF Soccer freshman superstar.  The girls were in Ahhh and asked lots of questions, Savannah was very patient.

UHS Track

 

Garrett decided to go out for the UHS track team and yesterday was the first track meet.  

Garrett is a distance runner and was going to run both the one mile and the two mile races.  

Coach decided to add Garrett to the 4X800 meter relay too.  

Garrett ran the 3rd leg of the relay and they won.  Garrett shaved 30 seconds off of his practice times.  He came in 4th in the 1 mile, 1st for UHS and 3rd in the 2 mile, 1st for UHS.  His one mile time was 5:34 and the winner was 5:07.  Not too bad for his first track meet.  He had fun and is looking forward to bettering his score with each meet.
