Another Soccer Player

Laine was invited to play on a U9 girls, competitive, travel soccer team.  We weren't sure if she was on board but she decided to take a break from theater and give soccer a shot.  She is having so much fun.  She loves her teammates and really has fun at practice.  She is a little nervous because at this level every girl has to take their turn in goal and she is not sure that is for her.  I told her "you never know until you try, you might just love it."  Their first game is next Saturday, so wish them luck.  

With Garrett playing for the same club on the U14 boys team, our Saturdays will be spent all over the Orlando area, maybe you should wish Coy and I luck ;)

Piano Lesson

Laine had her 1st piano lesson Monday.  

She was very excited and seemed to really enjoy it.

Birthday Celebration

 Garrett had a few friends over the Sunday before school started for a birthday celebration.  I was only able to get action shots, not cool to pose and nearly impossible to get them all to stand still long enough.  The weather was not the best and we had a few bumps in the road but I think a good time was had by all.  We will need to try again soon for a lake day.

Back to School

Three different schools this year: Walker, Freshman at Umatilla High School, Garrett, eighth grade Umatilla Middle and Laine, 3rd grade Umatilla Elementary.  We all survived the 1st day yesterday and the kids even came home with smiles.  Mom and Dad are trying to get used to a very quiet house :)

Dolly Awards

Baystreet Theater held their annual "Dolly Awards" this past weekend for the 2011/2012 season.  Walker was nominated for Best Male Bit in a Musical for his performance a Tom of Warwick in Camelot.  And the Dolly goes to ..... WALKER FORD !!  We are very proud.  What a wonderful night to celebrate the outstanding performances throughout the season from our Baystreet Players.

One More Birthday Surprise

Garrett continually talks about a hammock chair for his room that he saw in Key West on our vacation 2 years ago.   So we ordered him one for his birthday and he loves it.

Happy Birthday Garrett

Garrett has been waiting so long to go to Universal Studios so we gave him the best birthday surprise.  

We surprised him with tickets to spend his birthday at Universal with his Dad.  

They rode everything and some more than once.  

They were there from opening until closing and were exhausted but had a great day.

Hunter Safety

The boys both passed their Hunter Safety Course with flying colors.  Great job boys!!

Walker and Friends

Walker had some friends over Sunday for one last gathering before school starts.  What a great group of kids and they had so much fun.  We are blessed that our kids have made such sweet and kind friends.  They are welcome at our house any time.  

Raise the Roof

Our beloved Baystreet Theater is in desperate need of a new roof so everyone came together and put on a show and all the money raised went to the "new roof" fund.  Walker was asked to collaborate with the Artistic Director David Cleavenger and they performed Anything You Can Do from Annie Get Your Gun.  It was a great evening for a great cause.

100,000 Miles

The poor little mini-van that we bought shortly after we became a family of 5 and were dealing with an infant seat and 2 booster seats reached 100,000 miles.  I have never owned a vehicle and reached that milestone.  Since I only go to Publix, schools, theater and soccer fields I hope she has 100,000 more in her.  She may not be too pretty anymore but she is certainly very functional.

Camelot

Last Sunday was the 17th and Final performance of Camelot, Walker's first role in a Baystreet Players Main Stage show.  Walker played Tom of Warwick, the hope for the future of Camelot.  He and the entire cast did a fabulous job with many "sold out" shows.  We are very proud of him and I think he had some fun too.
