Walker was Fizzy, the janitor, 
who was continually trying to get an audition
with Fat Sam to sing in his club.
He sang a beautiful solo and danced with his partner the broom ;)

The Saturday evening performance was SOLD OUT.
Congratulations to the whole cast, it was a great show.

Best Christmas Pageant Ever

Along with Bugsy Malone some of the older kids auditioned for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever which opened the same weekend as Bugsy.  Walker played LeRoy Herdman, one of the awful Herdman kids.  He gets lured to church with the promise of snacks and he and his siblings end up performing in the Best Christmas Pageant Ever.

Introducing .....

...Winchester

Yes we are a bit crazy but we have adopted a cat.  Never in a million years would I have ever thought we would have a cat but now we do.  Winchester was a stray that started hanging around our house a few weeks ago.  The kids had fun with him and even Ruger liked him.  He is a great mouser and even caught a snake (the final convincing attribute for Coy).  SO we took him to the vet got him his shots and neutered.  The vet's best guess is that he is about 6 months old.  He lives in our shop and has free roam outside.  He comes in a night to cuddle on a lap or 2 but heads out at bed time.  He is a very loving cat and fits right in to our crazy zoo.

Getting the Christmas Tree

We had a great time at the Christmas Tree Farm this past weekend.  

We picked out and cut down a great tree.  

We got a smaller one this year since we will be heading out of town on Christmas day.

Still feels funny to get a Christmas tree in shorts and T-shirts.

Christmas Around the World

Laine participated in the 2nd grade Christmas Around the World performance at UES. 

 Each class told about Christmas in a different country.  

Laine's class told about Christmas traditions in England.  

She had a few lines and they all sang a few Christmas songs.
She was very proud to wear the scarf Grandma made :)

Garrett's Hunting Trip

Garrett had a great hunting trip.  

He shot a bobcat and a 110 lb sow.  

He is so excited and plans to have the bobcat mounted for his room.  

Special Visit

We had a great visit with our friends from Colorado, the Kirkpatrick's.  We just relaxed and enjoyed hanging out and catching up.  The kids had so much fun playing, tubing, fishing and digging in the sand.  We topped off the weekend celebrating Brooklynn's 10th birthday with a spaghetti dinner.  

Light Up ....

The YPT Tour Group participated in Light Up Eustis and Light Up Mt. Dora this past weekend.  Laine and Annabelle sang Frosty the Snowman and Walker and Kirk sang Dominic the Donkey.  What a fun and festive way to kick off the Christmas Season.  They have a few more performances this coming weekend, spreading more Christmas Cheer :)
