We had a wonderful Sunday with Grandma Sue and Papa Terry 

Lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and a matinee of Lion King at the Bob Carr.  

It was a wonderful show and a most memorable day.

Easter

Walker is 14

For Walker's 14th birthday we went to KiKu, a Japanese Steakhouse for dinner and came home for some homemade strawberry ice cream.  The highlight of the day, I am sure for him, was getting his iPhone (along with the agreement that he is responsible for his monthly bill).  On Saturday night he invited some friends over for a BBQ and bon fire.  They had a great time.  Grandma Sally made apple and cherry pies for the event, Walker's request ;)

UMS Soccer

Garrett had his first game last week in Umatilla Orange.  He was able to be #13 though the shirt is a large and a bit long, but keeping his number is worth it.  They won their first game 1-0 in OT.

The Bar

For Laine's birthday she really wanted her Daddy to build her a gymnastics bar.
So we surprised her on her Big Day with the news
that Daddy would build it but but he needed her help
(was a little too big to build and keep secret)
So Sunday after church they headed to Lowe's for supplies and
by the end of the afternoon we had a gymnastics bar
in our back yard and one very happy girl.
It makes me laugh now when after school she yells
"hey Mom I'm going to the bar"
not what you expect to hear from an 8 year old ;)

3 Kids Lots of Soccer

Our new house is very close to a big, beautiful park where they play rec. soccer in the Spring and Fall.  So we signed up all 3 kids for the Spring season.  The park is now where we spend all Friday nights with 3 hours of soccer.  It has been fun and great exercise.  Laine has really taken to soccer, this is her first time playing.  She loves it and is pretty good too.  Last Friday Walker scored a goal and Garrett scored 2.  They are just a bit competative with each other ;)

Laine Turns 8

Laine's big day started off with Mani's and Pedi's with her 4 girlfriends.  They all had fun being pampered.  Then we headed to the mall for the main event, Laine was getting her ears pierced.  She was a bit nevous but all her friends had their ears pierced so it was her turn.  Each girlfriend had a job and each had kind words to say to make her feel more comfortable.  She did great, only a few tears and they were gone before we left the mall.  We came home to a "blue" themed lunch and danced away the afternoon.  That night she had a birthday spaghetti dinner with the family and another blue cake.
