Tournament Champions

Laine's Orange Crush team is a U9 team made up of 7, 8, and 9 year olds that play in the U10 division.  2 true U10s were invited to be guest players with us for this tournament.  As usually they were underestimated by every team because they are so little and boy did they show them all.  They went undefeated throughout the tournament.  One coach said his team was not used to losing and didn't give Orange Crush a second thought once they saw us.  He complimented the girls on their skill and said he "could not wait to see this team in the future"  Laine played keeper the second half of the championship game, we were up 3-0 when the Ref. made a horrible call and brought Laine to tears.  The team got a free kick and scored.  Now it was 3-1.  Not 5 minutes later another free kick and Laine was mad.  She was not going to give that Ref. the satisfaction of letting them score on her twice.  She made a beautiful save that erupted the sidelines in a roar.  It was awesome.  

They won the game 3-2.  Go Orange Crush !!!!

UHS Track Regionals

He may be on the track team but you see where his true passion lies.

The UHS track, 4x800 relay team competed in Regionals.  

Garrett ran the 3rd leg and is the only freshman.  

The team finished 9th, a great finish for this young UHS team.  

Can't wait to see what next year brings.

Happy 16th Birthday Walker

Walker wanted a "low key" 16th birthday 

so he played a soccer game and we had a nice family dinner.  

Laine decorated the house for him and 

he requested a pie instead of a cake.  

He celebrated with his Grandma Sue who shares his birthday.

The driver's license comes May 2nd

Spring Break in Boston

We had a wonderful but very cold trip to New England over Spring Break.  March in the Northeast is questionable so we tolerated the cold and were thankful for no snow.  We visited Brown University after we flew into Providence and then drove to the town I grew up, Walpole.  On the way we stopped for lunch in enemy territory, Patriot Place but it is also home of MLS New England Revolution, what a very cool place.  In Walpole we had some Bubbling Brook ice cream and drove past my high school.  Then we headed to Boston.  We walked the Freedom Trail, took a Duck Tour, threw tea in Boston Harbor, ate some Lobster, visited Harvard and MIT.  We really learned a lot of history during the week.  We left Boston and visited Glouster then drove down to Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower and Plymouth Plantation.  We had a rainy ride out the Cape but got to say we did it and saw the tip.  

All in all it was a great trip, lots of memories and good eats.
