Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween

Sunday we went to Disney World for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party. It was awesome. It was a hot day and we thought wearing a costume for the whole evening would be hard so we decided to go as Bronco fans. Everyone loved the Bronco dress Grandma Sally made Laine and she was called the "Bronco Princess". We went to the Disney Barber Shop and got our festive "Hair-dos" and even a bit of pixie dust. We went with our friends the Simpsons and had the best evening.

Laine got to meet the princesses again but this time it was more special because Ms. Wendy got to meet them for the 1st time ever. Laine thought that was great to introduce Ms. Wendy to the princesses.

The kids had a great time. Laine rode some big kid rides, including Thunder Mountain Railroad, hands up and all. There were trick-or-treat stations set up all over the park. We got lots of candy. I was quoted with the best "Mom Line" of the night. "Eat Candy, Enjoy but Don't throw up" :)

The Bronco Princess almost made it till the end. She missed the Villain Show in front of the Castle at 11:15 pm. She is not too fond of the villains, especially Cruella, so she wasn't too upset. She slept to whole way home.

Birthday Parties

Last Weekend we had 2 birthday parties. The first was a carnival theme for our 2 year old neighbor Grace. There were carnival games, cotton candy and even a face painter.

Then Laine went to her friend Noah's for his 6th Birthday Party. It was a cowboy party.

Once on this Island

This weekend was Walker's performance of Once on This Island. He played Papa Ge, the Demon of Death. He also played Daniel's Father on his off nights filling in for a boy that couldn't commit and do a good job. He wore all white as Daniel's Father trying to imitate a wealthy Caribbean Grande Homme. Walker did great in both roles and was convincing as a strict Father and an evil demon. (Hard to believe our sweet Walker could be so evil). Photos are on the website www.warrenactingcompany.com

The Curtains were open...

Once a month they open the blinds at dance class so the parents can watch. Surprisingly my phone took pretty good pictures through the glass. They are preparing for their Christmas show. We can't wait.

Waverly Woods Zip Line Walker

At Waverly this past weekend we had a great time. They installed a zip-line over the pond. The boys loved it. It was a 40 foot tower on one end and ended at the ground. Coy and I even tried it. It was great.

Waverly Woods Zip Line Garrett

Waverly Woods

Waverly Woods installed a rope swing something else for the kids to love. We already do not have enough time to do all the fun things there when we visit but OK we'll add just one more. Laine was more daring this visit she tried the rope swing and hung in there with the big kids. She also swam across the pond to the fountain. It looked funny from the dock to see all the noodle ends bobbing up and down. We also fished and the boys bow hunted for deer. No luck hunting but Laine caught her first solo fish. I walked away to help another and she was reeling in a big one. We had a great weekend.

The Perfect Shirt

The perfect shirt for our little girl. More sweet than sassy these days though definitely knows what she wants and has an opinion on most things. We love our little Laine!

Walker's Fall Ball

Fall Baseball has started for Walker. He has been playing 3rd base. His batting is improving and he has gone 4 for 4 in the last 2 games. There are only 2 Eustis Major teams though they will play Mt. Dora some. It is great chance for Walker to continue to improve his skills and get ready for the competition of Spring Baseball.

Garrett started soccer too but has been down for over a week with a virus. He is finally heading back to school tomorrow and back to soccer. His first soccer game is Thursday so I will have some soccer pictures up soon.

Ruger

A week or so ago Daddy decided to help Ruger burn off some energy with a bike ride. A guy rides around our neighborhood all the time with 2 dogs, how hard could it be? Well Coy and Ruger did not get 2 houses down the street and Ruger suddenly decided to cross in front of the bike. Coy hit the breaks and ran over Ruger's back foot. We cleaned it and wrapped it really well but the next morning Ruger would not walk on it :( So, we took him to the vet and it was not broken :) just some good road rash. They had to sedate him for the X-ray and to clean it well. The bandage and "Satellite" were to keep him from chewing his foot. Once he felt better it was a real challenge to keep the bandages on. His legs are so long he could reach around and somehow get his foot in the "satellite". It has been a challenge but he is now healed. I don't think there will be many bike rides in Ruger's future.

Laine's First Sleepover

Every weekend Laine's friend Kylie has to spend all day Saturday at her brother's football games. So one Saturday we invited her to spend the day with us instead. Well, it was an away game for which they were leaving home at 5:30 AM so the Ford's decided to bend their "no sleepovers until you are 6" rule and Laine had her first sleepover. The girls had a great time and Daddy even made Mickey Mouse pancakes :)
