A Day in South Fork All about Papa

The next morning we drove a long and windin road into Papa's beloved mountains.
Breathtaking views.

Coy took 2 trips to hunt Elk after we moved to Florida .  Papa would get everything ready for the hunters and have camp all set up.  This is "Camp Cow Patty"

We made it to the trail head and hiked in to see what was left of the plane Papa crashed in the 1940's. He and his cousin Carl were scouting for Elk and just couldn't get enough altitude to get turned around and back down the valley.

The first glimpse of the wreckage.

The tail

We had to stop at the South Fork Malt Shoppe
and have a pineapple shake, Papa's favorite.
Papa's favorite store (and the only store in South Fork)
if you can't find something, Rainbow will have it.
We found a perfect spot to lay Papa's ashes,
on a hill side overlooking his favorite camp spot.
He loved to camp here with his friend Jim,

who passed away a couple years ago.

A couple of Papa's Nephews joined us to say good bye.
