A Quick Get-Away and a Tournament Champion

Christmas was all ready,  so Coy and I snuck away for a weekend ALONE in Savannah right before Christmas.  We had a wonderful time.  We stayed at a bed and breakfast and walked all through the city trying to gather in all it's vast history and eclectic style.  We ate dinner with Aunt Barbara and Uncle Larry at the Crystal Beer Parlor and enjoyed the Six Pence Pub.  We weren't too hungry for actual meals because we snacked our way through the city and caught every free praline spot we could.

Catching some homemade salt water taffy for the kids
While we were in Savannah, Laine won her 1st 3v3 Tournament.
She played 5 straight games and scored in all but one.
Fish downspouts to ward off evil spirits and for good luck.

Beautiful tree lined streets.
We went on a tour of the city and went inside the Catholic Cathedral.
It was beautiful, all decorated for Christmas.
The guard at the church entrance, snoozing, we felt very safe

Coy and I saw a Christmas show at the longest continually running
theater in the country, the Savannahe Theater.  Our host was very friendly.
