Happy 14th Garrett

 We celebrated Garrett's 14th birthday with dinner at PF Changs and a trip to Bass Pro Shops.  We celebrated the night before and told Garrett we could do anything he wanted to celebrate and this was his plan.  He received a guitar and lessons from the family along with some Costa sunglasses, so he was a pretty happy kid.  On his actual day I made him monkey bread for breakfast, spaghetti for dinner and brownie bottom sundays for after soccer practice, all his favorites on his special day.

Orlando City Soccer

Lake County Soccer Club got invited to an Orlando City Soccer Game.  Our players got to watch the team warm up and make the tunnel for the team to run through.  We had a great time and we won, Orlando City beat the Seattle Sounders.

4th Grade Sunday School

It is an FUMC tradition that rising 4th graders get to add their personal touch to the classroom mural.  Here is Laine's addition, she is very excited to be moving up to the 4th grade Sunday school class.

A Cousin Visit

 A few days after we arrived home from our Colorado adventure my sister and her family arrived in Florida for some fun in the sun.  They spent a week at Ormond Beach with my parents and enjoyed the sand and surf.  They did a little fishing too.  The kids and I went down along with Ms. Kitty and spent a fun filled day with them.  Coy joined us in the evening to celebrate a big 3 year old birthday.  It was a fun visit and I hope we get to do it again soon.  

We Made it to the TOP

We made it to the top of Hahn's peak.  It was awesome.  

The kids did great and for so little oxygen the grown ups did too.

Steamboat Springs

A little shopping in Steamboat before we hit the hot springs.

The kids had a great time trying over and over to climb the rock wall and ring the bell.  Garrett made it and as soon as Walker was set to try one more time we all got called out of the pool for lightening.
